a bad day, and valuable feedback

ok, my day was terrible. simply terrible. i hope i can divulge in more information but i can’t. this is to protect the people involved.

anyway, a lack of proper meals totally wrecked my entire day. my fault in not having enough discipline to enforce my meals right on time; i was too preoccupied with the negative things that happened and also the rehearsal that i was about to take. NUSWS prac today went on well, things were cleared up, pieces efficiently rehearsed (can’t say the same for my bit), we know what to practise during sectionals. my rehearsal for Elisabeth went ok, and i received very valuable feedback from daniel and cloud. sorry, i’m gonna quote you guys!

daniel cleared up some doubts for his section and after some prompting, told me i could give the ensemble more information about the individual songs in the musical. i totally agree! and i’ve been neglecting the feelings of the musicians playing the piece, trying to make sense out of it all. agreed. will work on it. cloud said i shouldn’t stop so often. something i overlooked; continuity is important! ok man, that’s worth looking into, for higher levels of efficiency!

see, i have wonderful friends who give me really important feedback :D

they did compliment some things i did right, though, but i thought i shouldn’t boast about them on my blog. haha. after all, i need more negative stuff to know what i can do more positively. such irony! but i love the challenges i’m facing now :D

so, checklist: stop less, give more information, and speak much louder! i need a loudhailer man! or can someone please give me vocal lessons??

i welcome more feedback from anyone! i promise i will not take offense unless it’s some personal attack :P

come watch Da Capo 2007! information will be up in a jiffy! :D
