i’m sure many people jamming up the whole place at esplanade riverfront will be cursing and swearing as the fireworks appeared from BEHIND the marina square building. luckily huili and i got a good spot at the merlion; although the view was still partially obstructed, we managed to see most of the fireworks! the sides of the display were cut off rudely by marina mandarin and another hotel, making a very nice ‘frame’ for our viewing ‘pleasure’. oh well, at least we weren’t like the poor souls standing all along the bridge and the esplanade riverfront! though the water spraying merlion combined forces with the east wind to give me a nice, cooling ’shower’.

and yesterday’s gonna be one of the last times we’re gonna take 36 from esplanade, sit the loop at the end of orchard, sit the loop at changi airport, and change to 15, which loops at parkway parade. 3 loops!!!! we were pretty groggy when we reached her stop. and i got a nasty sore eye apparently after some dirt fell into my eye, and i couldn’t remove my contact lens cos there wasn’t any place for me to put it.

but still, the day was good. especially after hearing huili’s sweet voice over the mic at ktv. ktv session with huili was definitely fun and unforgettable!

and how can i forget? happy national day! belated, that is. singapore’s 41 now. hope we can enjoy mrt rides more, without having to squeeze our way out of the train when we need to alight (mostly due to the impatient people trying to rush into the train… they don’t understand that if we don’t get out, they cannot get in). hope we can enjoy bus rides more, without having to ‘overhear’ what other people have to say, i mean announce (people sitting across a few seats yelling to each other), and without having to hear what songs people have on their mobile phones (when they blast thier mp3s on public transport). well, we love singapore despite these little things

and hope my sore eyes would be better so that i can attend practice tonight :S
