finally…
NTUSB concert is finally over! Reel In was quite a success, although the sound wasn’t as good as before according to nick. i kind of agree; NTUSB did sound better in their last concert. but this time they injected into their pieces a very important aspect of music: expression. the feel this time round is much better, as even the audience could feel our feel. well, it’s over now, and i’m glad. because this also marks the end of busy days burning lots of evenings for band practices! now for InClarion, and i’ll be able to concentrate fully on NUSWS and Mus’Art, while getting the most out of tutoring sessions with mr tang xiao ping.
i thank all who turned up for the concert! one whole bunch of NCWO people turned up despite last minute notification, and my ticket sales grew ten-fold. haha. well ok, from 1 to 10. haha. thank you all for coming, and hope that you guys and girls have really enjoyed what NTUSB presented to you! i’m sure most of you have found the repertoire encouraging. let’s have that standard in mind when we strive for our concert in december!
got handed the Eb clarinet today! i’ve been wanting to give the Eb clarinet a shot, but haven’t got the chance. today i tried it at the expense of desmond, which for that i am still a little guilty, despite desmond assuring me that it’s ok with him. hey desmond, i just want you to know that i really appreciate the opportunity, and i will work hard. you have really done lots for me, whether you noticed it or not, and i’m extremely greatful and thankful for all your help! from going up to 1st clarinet to borrowing your precious barrel to now borrowing the Eb clarinet, without you, none of these would’ve been possible! thank you for having faith in me
i must work hard. i have loads to improve on! and i must learn more from mr tang xiao ping, be a good player! now that i have so much resources, there really isn’t any reason for me to not attaining the standard i want to attain! i’m really glad that while walking this path of music, i have my dear friends and dearest sweetie giving me their support
time to save hard too! i’d love to be part of the family going to japan for musical exchange next year! i’m so excited about it! must save up for it, and hopefully i’ll come back with loads of great stuff. kimchi!!!! erm, that’s korean. hmmm… sushi!!!! wahaha
