busy life needs getting used to
ok, before i do any updates, due to popular demand, i hereby apologise to venessa for spelling her name wrongly and melvyn for getting his name wrong! haha. informal one lah, don’t mind. still, thanks for coming 
one week of school gone in a flash! this semester’s modules are going to be rather interesting, given the wide scope of study i’m doing this semester. 2 modules dealing with speech, 1 dealing with literature, 1 dealing with movies (yay!) and 1 dealing with another language (german of course). schedule this semester is also relatively easier on me, since i’m only taking one band (i’ve been saying this too much) and i only have 1 tutorial to attend. mondays are movie days; sit in LT11, listen to some lecture and then watch a movie. how shiok can that be man! tuesdays are killer days, lessons from 1000 to 1900. german lecture, literary stylistics seminar and then critical discourse analysis seminar. wednesdays free, thursdays 3 hours worth of german, and finally fridays with 3 hours of semantics and pragmatics in the morning. yup, there goes my academic schedule in a nutshell.
this week i experienced a whole week of inconsistency in my playing. 1 day it was good, another day it was really bad. i guess it really makes a big difference how i’m feeling when i’m playing. and also food or the lack of it makes a huge difference in whether i’d have enough air support or not. strange but true for me! irritating, though. i don’t like this inconsistency.
did some musical shopping and i finally got a few essential items. i finally bought those zonda reeds after being luckless for a few days, and i finally bought cleaning paper for my clarinet pads. bought more durable mouthpiece patches, a cleaning swab for sweetie and a good tuner for myself. yes, i finally bought that tuner i’ve been wanting to buy since god knows when. will have to settle payment of my mouthpiece soon; don’t want stanley to wait forever for my money. and the buffet chadash barrel has finally arrived at band world! but i’m still a little stuck between buffet chadash and DEG acubore. but i suppose buffet chadash is better for me? too bad they don’t have a 67mm barrel. hope it comes with tuning rings!
had a really crazy ktv session with weiqiang, gerald and westin. they all can sing well man! we were yelling out some songs, destroying some songs, terrorising our neighbours with our constant attempts to reach the female voice range. haha. i yelled out my bunch of SHIN songs and pulled off the jacky cheung rap. very fun! and of course, dinner was heavenly. we ate at this place called Botak Jones (they have a website), the western food is heavenly. and we ordered this huge burger called ‘you’re nuts’ which is basically 2 burger bun halves and 3 gigantic beef patties drenched, and i really mean drenched, in cheese. sinful man! but obviously, i can afford it (my weight, that is). haha. don’t be envious 
date with sweetie tmr! ok it’s past 12 midnight so it’s technically today. hope i have time for a haircut! better go sleep real soon.
i look forward to the crazy week ahead. 6 band practices and 1 concert. woohoo! all evenings burnt! OMG…
