no doubt it’s a beautiful sunday, because it was a surprisingly good performance, given the little time we had to prepare our pieces. Phantom of the Opera sounded so much better than what i had expected, although we could have worked out the dynamics even further to achieve the desired effect. but we’re thankful that there were no major screw-ups and the performance really went smoothly. and i finally got my solo part right without squeaking. haha.

many thanks to my friends and students/ex-students who have come to watch this performance: boon hui, my long lost GESSBand clarinet SL; su juen, my friend from PRSS band; victor, zheng an, gina, belinda, vanessa, yue an and eric from NCWO (i hope i got all your names right!); and my mom and grandma who has been very supportive of my music! i hope i didn’t leave anyone out! thank you NCWO peeps for the lovely flowers for me and my gf! oh yah, and i’m so sorry i forgot to take a photo with all of you NCWO people, i wanted a photo of you guys as keepsake. oh well. i shall be less forgetful next time!

although the day was marred by some unfortunate misunderstanding, it was cleared soon enough and the rest of the day was really great! i really really enjoyed myself all the way from just before the concert to just before i got on that violent bus 63 home. haha. but it was really a fun day spent with sweetie and i guess we really enjoyed ourselves thoroughly!

about 4 more concerts to go before i finally slow down! this is really scary… NTUSB concert on 26th August, InClarion Clarinet Choir as guest performers on 2nd September, Mus’Art Wind Orchestra at the botanical gardens on 9th September, and finally NUSWS concert on 7th October. and finally a breather for exams! oh wow.
