back where i belong :D
it really feels so good to be back playing at NUSWS again! a very different feeling, though, from the last time i took a huge break (of an entire semester that time). i feel so much more refreshed and ready to go, even though i’ve been playing all week and my lips were slightly sore. nevertheless, i enjoyed sight-reading the 4 pieces we’re going to play for concert, and i must say that they are very well chosen! mr leonard tan is really good at choosing pieces.
quite tough to sight-read. but i managed to play them through and run 2 solos. haha. but the solos are meant for the freshies so i guess it’s next time for me!
busy weekend ahead! teaching NCWO tmr to prepare them for the mini performance on their investiture. and not forgetting letting the members who haven’t passed their theory tests retake for the last time. saturday will be their investiture, and it’ll be a long long day, cos there’ll be investiture in the morning, some celebration somewhere following the investiture in the afternoon, sound check at jurong for the national day dinner, and finally to desmond’s chalet at downtown east. wow. then i’ll stay over till sunday, slack around and prepare for the performance in the evening!
