is that my clarinet?

Saturday, September 3rd, 2005

is that my clarinet? i don’t recognise it anymore! it used to look rather lacklustre, rather like an instrument which is doomed to produce a lousy sound. now it looks just like the instrument i use at mus’art; a $3000 clarinet! i’m proud of it man. and i’m also proud of myself. about time i justified the nice tone colour of the very seasoned wood with shiny shiny keys! and that polishing took me 2 hours or so… and a lot of toothpaste too. no wonder my back’s so sore! sitting for 2 hours straight at the computer table, polishing fervently while i watched ’seven swords’. now it looks great! i hope it still sounds as great too!

hey hairul, thanks for the meal! i’m so sorry i can’t treat you to anything yet; have been in rather bad financial shape.

mus’art band practice tmr! and 10-course dinner! i’ll go play a few notes on my clarinet now :D

i don’t wanna act as larry… help…

flirtatious, suave, smooth with words, hugely egoistic, vulgar, crude, basically a testosterone driven CAVEMAN who thinks about nothing else. extremely ‘un-ME’!!! gerald chew IS really testing my acting skills. this is really tough. and the script! so long. so many huge chunks of lines. and the plot! the plot itself is a huge melodrama. and we’re supposed to avoid melodramatising the script.

don’t know what i’m talking about? go watch ‘closer’ by jude law and julia roberts and check out who’s larry (clive owen).

alright, enough complaining. time for dinner and practising. and i forgot about my contact lens. sheesh. what shall i do tmr? (^_^)!!

what a change!

the number of times i’ve gone to the library these 2 weeks must’ve WAY surpassed my grand total number of trips to the library in my previous 2 semesters. i’m deeply impressed and shocked with myself at the same time. what happened to me? and these few days i’ve been shuffling in and out of the computer lab, printing notes and doing real stuff too. and i must’ve photocopied 300 over pages of notes at least, overtaking my previous 2 semester’s grand total for photocopying hands down. what’s happening to me? seriously i can’t be THAT hardworking right? i’ve never been! gosh. let’s see how long i can maintain this. by that i mean reading whatever i’ve printed as well. and actually studying instead of dozing off on my readings.

i still can’t believe how much i’ve accomplished these few weeks.

and char siew buns still top the list for the best surprise award.
